Amazon is committed to helping students especially those from underrepresented and underserved communities. Spokesperson Jacqueline Vegas explains Amazon Future Engineer just hit a huge milestone in our high schools program and we’re now supporting more than 2,000 schools across the US. and that impacts over 100,000 students. Nearly 250 of those are in California.
The platform is easy to use, the teachers have support. Teachers received some training in the beginning which is important because students would not have this opportunity had it not been for Amazon.
Now the company is preparing to offer 100 scholarships, $10,000 a year for four years. So 40,000 dollars total for these students and then the second part of it is a guaranteed paid internship at Amazon after their first year of college. Current high school seniors are encouraged to apply at Amazonfutureengineer.com
