As we head into wedding season, Heather Dawson gives us an inside look into the best venues, services, and airlines in California.
Three California cities topped the list for most expensive US cities to throw a wedding: Los Angeles rate number fourteenth on the list, behind San Francisco at number six and San Jose at number seven.
On average, catering is the biggest expense at $4,288, whereas the least expensive services include hiring beauty professionals and someone to formally wed the couple.
Here are four places to have matrimony bliss out in California:
- San Clemente: Casa Romantica in Southern California is breathtakingly stunning with a Spanish architecture and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean
- The Ebell of Los Angeles: where guess I can say “I do” in the heart of Los Angeles in a renaissance, Italian style building with an outside to a garden oasis
- Santa Rosa, in the heart of wine country, just north of San Francisco is the beautiful Oakmont Golf Club where you can say “I do” under Weeping Willow trees.
- Santa Clara, Freedom Hall and Gardens is where you want to be if the bride and groom love the great outdoors or you’ll be surrounded by redwood trees
As for the honeymoon, the best flight prices can be found with Spirit Airlines, being the cheapest followed by Hawaiian Airlines and Jet Blue.
