About 90% of all wines produced in the U.S. come from California. The Golden State is also the fourth largest wine producer in the world. So it’s no wonder that California wines are growing in popularity among China’s growing population.
The most recent statistics from the Wine Institute (from 2014) show China was one of the top destinations for U.S. wine exports, accounting for $71 million.
As a result, California winemakers are becoming increasingly more interested in the area.
This week on California Life, Wine Oh.TV’s Monique Soltani talks to a few of them at the Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair.
