Winter is officially here, and although it may not feel like it in much of Southern California, Big Bear looks like a winter wonderland! In fact, Action Snowshoe Tours just kicked off its annual snowshoe tours.
The tours are suitable for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts, and offer guests an opportunity to experience Big Bear’s scenic winter landscapes, learn about winter ecology and nature. Plus, it’s a great way to work off all those extra pounds gained during the holidays!
The tours kicked off December 20th and end the last week of March (depending on snowfall). They’re scheduled daily from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.; 12 noon – 3 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Participants must be at least 10 years old. Cost is $95, which includes state-of-the-art snowshoes and trekking poles.
