This week we had an inside interview with the cast of live action The Little Mermaid. Halle Bailey, who played Ariel, expresses how much she loved working with director Rob Marshall and how he was the most ideal director to bring this story to life. She told us how he was a visionary and a meticulous perfectionist who pulled everything together so perfectly. When a director can take a story and bring it to life while marking all the key points to the plot it truly transports the audience to this whole new world.
Melissa McCarthy and Javier Bardem (the former played Ursula and the latter playing King Triton) were left speechless when asked what it was like working with this cast and crew. Bardem explains how amazing the choreographers were and how amazing it was to see them transform everything to be underwater and the motion and movements were so meticulously placed to hit all the right directions. McCarthy conveys the beauty of how the movie is all in this soft and loving environment that Marshall put together.

Everyone was so loving and the energy was always positive and everyone was constantly giving it their all. The planning that went into this movie took its time, but new ideas were always welcomed and enjoyable.
Jonah Hauer-King who played Prince Eric gave a perfect depiction on what the rehearsals were like and how it was different from other projects because of how the dances were organic and how bring on the choreographers to piece everything together.
