A project to plant 500 acres of trees this year is getting it’s start in an unexpected location – New York City’s Times Square. But why this pop-up forest in the middle of the concrete jungle?
“We built this forest of dream here in NY right in the middle of times square to represent the hundreds of thousands of consumers we’ve helped fund their dreams by providing loans,” Todd Nelson, Consumer Finance Expert for LightStream, explained.
LightStream is working hand-in-hand with American Forests, the oldest conservation organization in the U.S., 
to waste less paper and grow more trees – even in the most unlikely destinations like New York’s Times Square.
For every loan, a tree is planted! Efforts to maintain and grow urban forests are gaining traction in many U.S. cities and California Life’s Lauren Hudson explains this interesting concept known as the Forest of Dreams.
