A huge event will be held this Sunday at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City to benefit the American Cancer Society.
California Spirit is an annual food and wine gala, featuring many of LA’s best chefs and restaurateurs. This year’s event will be hosted by Chef Michael Voltaggio, winner of Top Chef Season 6, and the acclaimed Chef & Owner of “ink.”
The event was founded more than three decades ago, by Wolfgang Puck and Barbara Lazaroff. Since then, it has raised more than $15 million for the American Cancer Society.
California Life spoke with Lazaroff about what inspired her to launch the event and why it’s so important. Check out the story below, airing statewide this week. To purchase tickets to the event, go to www.calspirit.org.
