Just 30 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles, you’ll find the perfect spot for a weekend getaway… Claremont.
As its nickname suggests, “City of Trees and PhDs” is known for its beautiful tree-lined streets and the world-renowned Claremont Colleges. But those aren’t the only reasons it’s been called the “best-kept secret in LA.”
Claremont is home to dozens of one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants, as well as a great art and music scene.
“If you’re into hiking, if you’re into gardening, we have the great botanical gardens here in Claremont,” said Andrew Behnke, General Manager and Vice President of DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont. “And if you like performing arts, we have the Candlelight Dinner Theatre. It pretty much appeals to everybody,” Behnke said.
The DoubleTree is one of the two main hotels in Claremont. It just finished-up a $1.3 million renovation.
Hotel Casa 425 is the only boutique hotel in the Inland Empire. Each of the hotel’s 28 rooms features original artwork, Tempur-Pedic bed and oversized soaking tub.
“We have a very unique look to our hotel,” said Assistant Hotel Manager Audrey Mangan.
