Sydney Sweeney Stars as Bombastic Boxing Legend in CHRISTY from David Michôd

Black Bear has released the official trailer for Writer/Director David Michôd’s (THE KING) film, CHRISTY, in theaters November 7th.

The film stars Sydney Sweeney (ANYONE BUT YOU, EDEN, IMMACULATE), Ben Foster (MOTOR CITY), Merritt Wever (SEVERANCE, MARRIAGE STORY), Katy O’Brian (MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: THE FINAL RECKONING, LOVE LIES BLEEDING), and Chad Coleman (THE WALKING DEAD, THE WIRE) written by David Michôd and Mirrah Foulkes, with story by Katherine Fugate.

Fresh off the heels of its debut at TIFF 2025, CHRISTY stars Sydney Sweeney in an utterly transformative role as unsung boxing hero Christy Martin, who begins to fight a battle larger than herself, outside of the ring. After wowing audiences at the festival featuring knockout performances from Sydney Sweeney, Ben Foster and Merritt Wever, the film will hit theaters this November 7th.
