With Labor Day just around the corner, we can already feel ourselves getting excited for fall! The truth is, we’ve all been working HARD to survive 2020, I think we all deserve a little something special, double time.
Bluebird in a Box is all about finding the reasons – big and small – to celebrate. And for Labor day, it’s our chance to blow one final kiss to summer and turn our faces toward fall, embracing its flannel shirts and warm, cozy fires.
Today, we’re giving you 20 reasons to celebrate the change of the season with us, with our Top 20 Must-Haves To Get You In The Mood (For Fall)!
- Three words. Cable. Knit. Socks. Cute with boots, mary janes, or on their own.
- Pumpkin spice e-ver-y-thing. You can even make your own spice mix with this recipe, fill up these adorable pumpkin jars, and give it as gifts at your next Bluebird in a Box party!
- An apple corer / peeler to make pie-making SO much easier after that annual apple picking trip to the orchard!
- We love the new generation of instant cameras for capturing memorable moments! And they come in every color imaginable! Take this for a day of leaf peeping with a pal, write your favorite moments on the backs of the photos, and keep them in an album to cherish for years! (And Travel & Leisure JUST released this list of the best places to catch fall’s changing colors! The universe is giving you a sign!)
- Okay, so we love every single one of D.S. & Durga’s candles and think they’re worth the splurge! It’s hard to pick a favorite – I mean, come on, one is called “Big Sur After Rain!” – but our pick for fall has to be the Portable Fireplace candle.
- We don’t know about you, but anything Chris Stapleton sings just makes us want to snuggle under a cozy blanket, and his new song is set to be our fall anthem!
- Speaking of cozy blanket, we love Bearaby’s weighted blankets, and they’ve got some beautiful fall colors in stock right now!
- We are obsessed with Luxe B Pampas Grass’ gorgeous selection of dried grass bundles! Great for bringing a touch of the fall indoors.
- Not into the traditional fall gourd table decor? How about these modern cuties instead?
- If your home doesn’t smell like bread for the next 3 months, is it even fall?! Zoë François’, of Zoe Bakes, a definitive book on bread baking has a permanent place on our kitchen counter!
- This Pendleton mug set is screaming to be filled with apple cider and hot cocoa!
- Kentucky Bourbon Pie Filling?! We could eat this stuff straight out of the jar…ehem, if that’s the kind of person we were (we are).
- Any of our ladies joining us on the floppy hat train for fall? We’re loving this hat from Gigi Pip!
- If you don’t have one yet, run – don’t walk – to get your wallet. Fall is THE time for simmering, mouthwatering soups, chilis, and stews – and nothing makes it easier to throw something together for a crowd than an Instant Pot.
- Did you pick up knitting during quarantine (us, too)? We Are Knitters has our favorite kits – complete with yarn, needles, and patterns – for countless projects! Seems like a good time to start making that dream chunky, oversized sweater, if you ask us!
- What is fall without campfires? Don’t live in the woods? Don’t worry! Get a fire pit, and you can experience that campfire glow without breaking the bank! We expect an invite to your backyard sing-alongs for s’mores.
- What’s better than tying it all together with a blanket, a mug of something warm, a candle, and one of Good Housekeeping’s recommended fall reads?!
- Send a care package to anyone you know who could use a little fall encouragement (back-to-school season is hard, y’all!). This great new company, Hello Care Package, supports small businesses (75% minority-owned) with each curated box!
- And fall doesn’t have to mean just browns, reds, and greens! For my fellow color-lovers, we are dying over this rainbow cardigan!
- And, lastly, invite friends over and rent one (or all!) of Town & Country’s 14 recommended movies for fall!
With all being a great accessory to your Labor Day Party, we also have our famous BlueBird in a Box called “Campfire”!
