🎗️ Breast Cancer Continues to Impact Millions of Women

Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women, making access to early detection, treatment, and financial support more important than ever. While medical advances have improved outcomes for many patients, financial barriers continue to prevent countless women — particularly those in underserved communities — from receiving the care they need.

For Leyna Topete, that reality became deeply personal long before she founded HER too Breast Cancer Non-Profit.

đź’• A Legacy Inspired by Her Mother’s Strength

HER too was created in honor of Leyna’s mother, Lola, a United States Marine Corps veteran who dedicated 29 years of service to her country before battling metastatic breast cancer. Thanks to comprehensive medical coverage, Lola was able to access treatments that extended her life for more than a decade before her passing in 2019.

Witnessing both the benefits of quality healthcare and the hardships faced by women without those same resources inspired Leyna to create HER too. The nonprofit focuses on raising breast cancer awareness while helping women in underserved communities cover the financial costs associated with treatment and care.

đź’Ş When the Mission Became Personal

Leyna’s commitment to the cause took on even greater meaning in 2023 when she received her own breast cancer diagnosis.

Experiencing the disease firsthand strengthened her determination to ensure that other women have access to the support they need during treatment. Today, HER too works through community partnerships, fundraising events and outreach initiatives to help bridge financial gaps that can stand between patients and lifesaving care.

To date, the organization has provided critical financial assistance to 154 women, helping ease the burden that often accompanies a breast cancer diagnosis.

đź’– Looking Ahead

As HER too continues to grow, the organization is expanding its impact through educational initiatives and increased community outreach planned for 2026. By raising awareness, supporting patients financially, and advocating for more equitable access to care, Leyna Topete is transforming personal adversity into a mission that continues to change lives.

🌟Final Thoughts

Through HER too, Leyna Topete is helping ensure that more women receive not only hope, but the resources they need to focus on healing, proving that one personal journey can inspire lasting change for countless others.
