Nashville music industry startup, DiscoverSooner, has announced their inaugural online event, Priceless Answers To Questions Songwriters Ask Publishers, a Conversation With Shar’n Clark and Sherrill Blackman. The interactive event will be on on July 15 at 5pm CDT and aimed at songwriters, artists and industry professionals of all levels. The free online event will feature panelist Shar’n Clark and Sherrill Blackman and will be hosted by CEO of DiscoverSooner Nancy Deckant. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit a song to the publishers and three deserving songwriters will be referred to Shar’n and Sherrill by DiscoverSooner. |

Our goal is to use technology to connect songwriters with industry professionals. Both Shar’n Clark and Sherrill Blackman are highly respected publishers and independent song pluggers,” shared CEO of DiscoverSooner Nancy Deckant. “They have much to share that will shape songwriter’s thinking and possibly influence their writing. Sherrill Blackman has a lifetime of experience placing just the right song in just the right place resulting in Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum certifications, Grammy and IBMA nominations and a Dove Awards. Shar’n Clark has cuts with Blake Shelton, Reba McIntire, Sara Evans and recently placed “Big Sky” with Warner Music Nashville recording artists The Wild Feathers featured in Netflix’s Jack Ryan, Season 2.

Cuts include Blake Shelton, Reba McIntire, Sara Evans, Rockie Lynne and John Michael Montgomery. Her ability to find just the right song has earned her the nickname “Magic” by Duane Allen of the Oak Ridge Boys. Sherrill Blackman founded SDB Music Group in 1994, a publishing and songplugging company.
