It was a race to remember at the 2025 NASCAR Pennzoil 400, where Josh Berry took home his first Cup Series win, making history for both himself and Wood Brothers Racing with their 101st victory.
Berry surged ahead of Daniel Suárez in his Motorcraft Quick Lane Ford with just 14 laps to go—and never looked back. He was followed by Ryan Preece in third, William Byron in fourth, and Ross Chastain rounding out the top five.
A Wild Ride in Las Vegas
Fans were treated to a thrilling race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, packed with spinouts, drama, and nine caution flags covering 53 laps. Despite a pit road mistake earlier in the day, Berry and his team powered back to the front, using strategy and instinct to clinch a much-deserved win.
“Honestly the biggest thing I feel right now is I’m just thankful to be in this situation,” Berry shared after the race. “Our car felt good from the start… we fought hard all day and found ourselves in position to win.”
Star-Studded Speed
The excitement wasn’t just on the track. A host of celebrities showed up to celebrate the spring NASCAR event:
- Morgan Freeman served as Grand Marshal, declaring the iconic “Start your engines!”
- John Schneider (The Dukes of Hazzard) acted as an honorary race official
- A WWE champion took on the role of celebrity pace car driver
- Country star Callie Tucker performed the national anthem
