There aren’t many individuals who can boast a thriving career across numerous facets of the entertainment industry, but Michelle Danner is undoubtedly one of them. As a celebrated performer, teacher, storyteller, director, entrepreneur, and expert, Danner has left an indelible mark on the world of acting and filmmaking.

Her last film, Miranda’s Victim, stars Abigail Breslin, Luke Wilson, Ryan Phillippe, Emily VanCamp, Mireille Enos, Enrique Murciano, Brent Sexton, Josh Bowman, Sebastian Quinn, Taryn Manning, Nolan Gould, Dan Lauria, Kyle MacLachlan, Andy Garcia, and Donald Sutherland. The film tells the true story of Trish Weir (Breslin) who was kidnapped and brutally raped by Ernesto Miranda. The subsequent trials went all the way to the Supreme Court and led to creation of the Miranda Rights.

Danner continues to expand her directorial portfolio into romantic comedies. Her film The Italians, starring Matthew Daddario, Rob Estes, Perrey Reeves, David DeLuise, Olivia Luccardi, Lainie Kazan, and Abigail Breslin, is currently being showcased at film festivals across the country.

Film director Michelle Danner is releasing The Italians, a quirky dramedy about family, love, and tantalizing Italian cooking. The Italians shows the Vitali Family, an Italian-American family, as they meet their son’s new fiancée—who is decidedly NOT Italian.

Our Intern Julia Lund got the opportunity to sit down and learn more about this fantastic film which will be released on Amazon April 11, and then on Google, and iTunes/Apple, and Tubi.
